AFM SafeChoice Carpet Lock-Out

AFM SAFECHOICE CARPET LOCK-OUT

(Gallon AFM-61130 or Quart AFM-61230)

DESCRIPTION:

This one-of-a-kind product is designed to perform two functions: to seal in the outgassing of harmful chemicals found in carpet fibers and to help repel dirt and stains. Use in conjunction with SafeChoice® Carpet Shampoo and SafeChoice® Carpet Seal—a three-part system to clean out and seal in the harmful chemicals found thought a typical carpet. Not recommended for wool.

USE ON: Synthetic carpets and rugs, because of variations in materials and production processes used by different manufacturers, you should always spot test to insure compatibility with your carpet. Can also be used on synthetic fabrics commonly used on furniture. Not recommended for wool or velour.

LIMITATIONS: Surface must be completely dry before application. Surface should be dry to touch before permitting floor traffic.

PREPARATION: Carpet should be vacuumed and cleaned using SafeChoice Carpet Shampoo to remove, as much as possible, the petrochemical residue from the fibers. After cleaning, seal carpet with SafeChoice Carpet Seal, then allow the carpet to dry thoroughly before proceeding with application of SafeChoice Lock Out. For old carpeting follow the same procedure of vacuuming and cleaning with SafeChoice Carpet Shampoo. For carpets exceeding four years in age use of SafeChoice Carpet Seal may be optional. Carpet must be completely dry whether or not SafeChoice Carpet Seal is required.

APPLICATION: Using a hand-held pump sprayer (similar to a garden sprayer), spray a fine mist of SafeChoice Lock Out evenly and uniformly over the entire carpet surface. Do not oversaturate. Work SafeChoice Carpet LockOut into the fibers with a rotary brush, polishing machine or clean garage broom, just enough to assure complete and uniform contact. UPON COMPLETION, CLOTH DRY FIBER TOPS TO PREVENT FORMATION OF WHITE FILM AS PRODUCT DRIES.

CLEAN-UP: Clean tools and equipment while they are still wet with a warm soapy water solution.

DRYING/CURING TIME: Two to four hours in moderate heat and humidity. Cool temperatures and/or high humidity may increase drying time.

HEALTH PRECAUTIONS: As with all sealers, keep container tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not take internally. Keep from freezing. Always use adequate ventilation.
